첼로 심준호
2010년 제40회 쥬네스 뮤지칼 국제 콩쿠르에서 심사위원장인 나탈리아 구트만으로부터 “머리는 차갑게 가슴은 뜨겁게 연주하는 진정한 음악가”라는 극찬을 받으며 한국인 최초, 심사위원 만장일치 우승을 차지한 심준호는 예원학교, 서울 예술 고등학교를 모두 수석으로 입학하였고 2000년 금호 영재 콘서트를 시작으로 제 32회 중앙 음악 콩쿠르 우승 등 다수의 콩쿠르에서 두각을 나타내었으며, 쥬네스 뮤지칼 국제 콩쿠르 우승, 2012년 제5회 안토니오 야니그로 국제 첼로 콩쿨 2위에 입상함으로써 그의 음악적 재능을 인정받았다.
서울 시향, 성남 시향, 인천 시향, 수원시향, 독일 융에 베를린 교향악단, 베오그라드 RTS 방송 교향악단, 자그레브 필하모니 등과 협연하였고, 2010년 베오그라드 첼로 페스티발 오프닝 협연, 독주회를 가진바 있다.
독일 에쎈 폴크방 국립음대에서 조영창을 사사하였고, 노르웨이 음악원에서 수학하였으며, 현재 트룰스 뫼르크와 지안 왕을 사사하며, 앙상블 오푸스, 칼라치 스트링 퀄텟 멤버로 활동 중이다.
Cello Joonho Shim
The promising young cellist Mr. Joonho Shim won the 40th International Jeunesses Musicales Competition as the first Korean musician in 2010. The panel of judges unanimously chose him as the winner with the chairman, Ms. Natalia Gutman’s appraisal, “He is a real musician who can perform very rationally in his head with great passion in his heart.”
Mr. Joonho Shim entered the most prominent art education institutes in Korea, Yewon Arts Middle School in 2000 and Seoul Arts High School in 2003, both as a head student. He debuted at the Kumho Young Artist Concert in 2000. He has received critical acclaim for his excellent performance through the 1st prize at the 32nd Jung-Ang Music Competitions, the 1st prize at International Jeunesses Musicales Competition, and the 2nd prize at the 5th Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition (2012), and more.
He has performed with Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Seong-Nam Philharmonic Orchestra, Prime Phil Orchestra, German Junge Berlin Orchestra, Belgrade RTS Orchestra, and Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, and others. He had a solo recital at the opening performance of Belgrade Cello Festival in 2010.
He studied under Prof. Cho, Young Chang at German Essen Folkwang University, and is currently studying under Ji-An Wang and Prof. Truls Mork at Norwegian Academy of Music. He is also performing as a member of Ensemble OPUS and Kallaci String Quartett.
