프랑스계 클라리넷 연주가 미쉘 레티엑은 현재 세계 클래식 음악계에서 가장 저명한 인물 중 하나로 존경받고 있다. 그는 수 많은 연주회와 페스티벌 공연에 출연할 뿐 아니라, 후배 양성에 열심을 기울이며 레퍼토리를 연구하고 유통하는 일에 활발하게 참여하고 있다.

그는 현대 음악에 헌신적이며, 펜데레츠키, 코릴리아노, Denisov, Maratka, Ballif, Ladowski, Decoust, Fourchotte, 스콜라리, 나리타, Brotons, 지로, 델 트레디치와 같은 작곡가들의 수 많은 작품과 협주곡들의 초연에서 연주하였다. 연주회 활동 외에도 그는 국제 학교들과 페스티벌에서 마스터 클래스 진행자로 정기적으로 초청을 받는다.
그는 20개가 넘는 CD음반을 Lyrinx, Arion, RCA, Bis, Talent, Actes Sud과 같은 음반 회사에서 발매하였고, 그 중에 두 음반, 졸리베의 작품 “Asceses” 와 G. Poulet, N. Lee와 함께 연주한 바르톡의 작품 “Contrast”는 그랑프리 뒤 디스크상을 수상한 바 있다.
그는 펜데레츠키의 협주곡 세 곡을 펜데레츠키와 E. Leducq이 지휘한 상트페테르부르크 카메라타와 함께 녹음하였으며, Naxos에서 같은 작곡가의 실내악 작품들을 녹음하였으며, Talent에서 Vanhall의 협주곡, Arion에서 루토슬라브스키의 “Préludes et Danses”, Arion 에서 프라하의 탈리히 오케스트라와 함께 마라트카의 “Luminarium”, C.Ivaldi 와 함께 오리크, 오네게르와 풀랑의 소나타들을 녹음했다.

At the moment, the French clarinettist Michel Lethiec is considered to be one of the most eminent figures on the world-wide classical musical scene. Besides his numerous concert and festival performances, he is also devoted to teaching and participates actively in the research and the distribution of the repertoire.
He has played as a soloist and chamber musician with the most eminent performers such as A. Noras, L. Kavakos, G. Hoffmann, F. Helmerson, G. Sharon, R. and B. Pasquier, H. Shaham, Y. Bashmet, G. Caussé, P. Gallois, J. Menuhin, R. Gothoni, J.F. Heisser, J.-C. Pennetier, M. Rudy, V. Mendelssohn, P. Amoyal, J.J. Kantorow, P. Csaba, M. Martin, Y. Gandelsmann, I. Golan…. and the Talich, Enesco, Artis, Fine Arts, Amati, Prazak, Shangai, Lindsay, Chilingirian Quartets…
He has played with the Barcelona Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic, the Stockholm and the Malmoe Orchestras, the English Chamber Orchestra, the Toulouse Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre National du Capitole, the Salzburg Mozarteum, the Milano Pomeriggio Musicale, the Prague Radio Orchestra, the Philharmonique de Radio France…
Devoted to contemporary music, he has played premier performances of numerous pieces and concertos by composers such as: Penderecki, Corigliano, Denisow, Maratka, Ballif, Landowski, Decoust, Fourchotte, Scolari, Narita, Brotons, Giraud, Del Tredici… Besides his concert performances he is regularly invited to give master classes in international schools and festivals.
His recordings include more than twenty compact discs, among which are two Grand prix du Disque (“Ascèses” by Jolivet and “Contrasts” by Bartók, with G. Poulet and N. Lee), for Lyrinx, Arion, RCA, Bis, Talent, Actes Sud.
He has recorded the three Concertos by Penderecki (with the Saint-Petersburg Camerata conducted by K. Penderecki and E. Leducq) as well as a CD devoted to the chamber music works of the same composer (Naxos), the Concerto by Vanhall (Talent) and the Préludes et Danses by Lutoslawski (Arion), “Luminarium” by Maratka (Arion, with the Talich Orchestra Prague) Sonatas by Auric, Honegger and Poulenc (with C. Ivaldi).
“Porgy and Bess” Suite for clarinet and strings is now available (Naxos), as soon as Golijov “ Dreams and Prayers of Iasac the blind “ and Bloch “ Jewish Life ‘ ( with Artis and Itamar Golan, Saphir )
In 2017 were edited Bernard Hermann quintet, “ Souvenirs de voyage “, and “Mayyar Madness“ by David Del Tredici
He is an honorary professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and at the Nice Conservatoire and he also participates regularly in international competitions ( Geneva, Leipzig, Prague, Osaka, Munchen, Hambourg…) as a jury member.
