과천시립소년소녀합창단
1996년 5월에 창단된 과천시립소년소녀합창단은 최선을 다하는 자세와 아름다운 하모니로 음악을 사랑하는 모든 이에게 맑고 순수한 음악적 정서를 선사하고 있다.
과천시립소년소녀합창단은 매년 정기 및 기획연주회를 가지고 있으며, 과천시를 대표하여 전국시립소년소녀합창제와 통영국제음악제, 제주국제음악제, 함평세계나비 곤충엑스포, 세계어린이합창제 등의 주요 축제에서의 초청 연주를 통해 문화예술계의 중추적인 역할을 굳건히 하고 있다.
2006년 창단 10주년을 맞아 중국 남영시에서 초청 공연을 하였으며, 2009년 자르 뮤직 페스티벌에서의 초청 연주를 통해 큰 호평을 받았고, SBS에서 2010년부터 방영되고 있는 공식 애국가 제작에 참여하였다. 2010년에는 세계어린이합창제와 청와대에 초청받는 등 그 실력을 인정받고 있다. 2011년에는 국립오페라단과 중국 국가대극원 오케스트라와 함께 오페라 '투란도트'를 선보였고, KBS 나눔더하기대축제 ‘어린이에게 희망을’에 공식 초청받아 개막 공연을 장식하였으며, 2016년에는 롯데콘서트홀 개관공연에서 ‘천인교향곡’을 선보였다.
2012년 자매도시인 일본 시라하마의 초청 공연을 통해 과천시의 문화사절로서의 역할을 수행하기도 한 과천시립소년소녀합창단은 창단 20주년을 맞이한 2016년에 과천시 승격 30주년을 동시에 맞이하며 기념연주회 및 제24회 전국시립소년소녀합창제를 성황리에 개최하였다.
과천시립소년소녀합창단은 천상의 하모니로 자연과 인간을 사랑하는 마음을 담아 영혼의 울림과 감동을 전달할 수 있는 문화대사가 되기 위해 끊임없이 정진하고 있다.
Gwacheon City Children’s Choir
Gwacheon City Children’s Choir, which was established in May 1996, presents pure musical emotions to everyone who loves music through full-hearted practice and beautiful harmony.
It hosts regular and special recitals every year, participates in national children’s choir festivals and joint camps, performs at the Tongyeong International Music Festival, and is invited to perform at Jeju International Music Festival, Hampyeong World Butterfly and Insects Expo and World Children’s Choir Festival, thus playing a pivotal role in culture and arts.
In particular, Gwacheon City Children’s Choir was invited to perform at Nanning, China in light of its 10 year anniversary in 2006 and was also invited to perform at the Saarland International Music Festival in 2009. In 2010, It had also participated in the production of the official national anthem at SBS and was officially invited to perform at the World Children’s Choir Festival and the Cheongwadae, demonstrating their skills and talents. In 2011, it was officially invited to join the National Opera of Korea to perform the opera “Turandot” with the Chinese National Centre for the Performing Arts, and was officially invited to Opening ceremony of KBS Sharing Cultural Festival “Hope to Children”, while also performing “Symphony of a Thousand” in the Opening Concert of the Lotte Concert Hall in 2016.
In 2012, it was invited to perform at Shirahama, Japan, a sister city of Gwacheon, to act as a cultural ambassador. 2016 was the year that where the choir celebrated its 20th year anniversary and the 30th year anniversary for Gwacheon to be elevated to city status, and the choir held a commemorative recital among domestic and foreign guests who came to perform and also successfully hosted the 24th National Children’s Choir Festival.
Gwacheon City Children’s Choir aims at using heavenly harmony to move forward in becoming cultural ambassadors who can convey the reverberation and emotions of the soul that loves humans and nature.
