클라리넷 김한

만 11세의 나이에 금호영재콘서트 무대를 통해 데뷔한 클라리네티스트 김한은 데뷔 1년 만에 소프라노 임선혜 독창회에서의 호연을 통해 “클라리넷 신동 – 전승훈(동아일보)”으로 언론의 주목을 받기 시작했으며, 2010년 금호영재 신년음악회에서의 연주로 “이 영재에겐 숨소리마저 악기 – 김성현(조선일보)”라는 호평을 받는 등, 관악주자로서는 보기 드물게 어려서부터 재능을 인정 받았다. 솔리스트로서 이미 다수의 독주회를 가진 김한은 서울시향, KBS교향악단, 수원시향, 성남시향, 광주시향, 창원시향, 유라시안 필하 모닉 등 오케스트라 협연 뿐만 아니라, 이건음악회, 서울스프링실내악축제, 대관령국제음악제, 서울국제 음악제, 디토 페스티벌 등 최정상급 무대에서의 실내악 연주까지 나이를 믿기 힘든 다양한 활동을 펼치고 있다. 

대한민국 국제관악제에서 아티 쇼의 클라리넷 협주곡을 연주하고 작곡가 류재준의 클라리넷 소나타와 클라리넷 퀸텟, Fuminori Tanada의 클라리넷 협주곡을 세계 초연하는 등 클래식 뿐 아니라 현대음악과 재즈에 이르기까지 음악의 스펙트럼을 넓히고 있는 김한은 최연소 아티스트로 초청되어 화제가 된 2008 일본 국제 클라리넷 페스티벌에서의 독주회를 시작으로 독일 하이델베르크 스프링 음악축제와 영국 City of London 페스티벌, 프랑스 파블로 카잘스 페스티벌, 오스트프리슬란트 음악축제, 일본 이코마 뮤직페 스티벌과 동경 아시안 클라리넷 페스티벌 등 여러 해외 무대에서도 이미 두각을 나타내고 있다. 

김한은 2009년 만 13세의 나이로 출전한 제2회 베이징 국제음악 콩쿠르에서 심사위원 특별상인 최고 유 망주 상을 수상했으며, 바이츠 퀸텟(목관오중주)의 창립 멤버로 2015년 칼 닐센 국제 실내악 콩쿠르에서 2위에 입상하였다. 2016년 제3회 자크 랑슬로 국제 클라리넷 콩쿠르에서 심사위원 만장일치 1등상과 청 중상, 위촉곡 최고해석상을 동시에 석권한 김한은 2019년 세계적인 권위를 자랑하는 독일 제68회 ARD 국제 음악 콩쿠르에서 준우승과 함께 청중상까지 수상함으로써 차세대 대표 클라리넷 연주자로서의 이름을 알리고 있다. 

“금호아트홀 라이징스타”, 금호영재 10주년 기념페스티벌 “Best of the Best 연주자”, “공연예술계 10 인의 유망주” (객석), “문화예술계 샛별” (중앙일보), “문화계 앙팡테리블” (주간한국) 등으로 선정된 바 있는 김한은 연주 영상이 유튜브에서 8백만회 이상 조회되고 클래식 음악 연주가로서는 드물게 구독자의 수가 2만 명을 넘는 등 온라인 상에서도 전 세계인의 많은 관심과 사랑을 받고 있다. 

예원학교를 거쳐 영국의 명문 이튼칼리지와 길드홀 음악연극학교를 장학생으로 졸업한 김한은 이용근, 김 현곤, Andrew Webster를 사사했으며, 현재 독일 뤼벡 음대에서 자비네 마이어로부터 가르침을 받고 있 다. 김한은 취리히 오페라 하우스 오케스트라 아카데미 단원을 거쳐 2018년 하반기부터 핀란드 방송교향 악단의 제2수석 클라리넷 주자로 활약하고 있다.

Clarinet Han Kim

By winning the Second Prize in 68th ARD International Music Competition in Munich, 23-year-old Korean-born clarinetist Han Kim has been recognised around the world as one of the most promising clarinetists in his generation. Alongside the Henle-Urtext Prize, his per-formance of Elliott Carter’s Clarinet Concerto with Münchner Rundfunkorchester in the final round has impressed all the jury members and captivated the audience, which led him to be awarded the Audience Prize in addition. 
 
Born in 1996, Han Kim began playing the clarinet at the age of 10, and has already been recognised around the world as the most promising clarinet prodigy for his wondrous and mature playing, since his video clips of first recital were shared through Youtube and capti-vated world-wide audiences over 5 million times. 

Han has appeared many times as a soloist with a number of orchestra such as Münchner Kammerorchester, Orchestre de la Normandie, KBS symphony orchestra and Suwon Phil-harmonic Orchestra since his debut on year 2009 at the age of 13, playing Mozart clarinet concerto with Euro-Asian orchestra in Seoul and has collaborated chamber music perfor-mances with many of world’s finest musicians including Arto Noras, Sabine and Wolfgang Meyer, Daniel Müller-Schott, Igor Levit, Shanghai String Quartet, Bennewitz Quartet and recent engagements include the world premiere performances of Jeajoon Ryu’s clarinet so-nata, clarinet quintet, and Fuminori Tanada’s Clarinet concerto. 

Since he launched his international career by recital at the 2008 international clarinet festi-val in Japan at the age of 12, he was among the distinguished artists invited to perform in numerous music festivals, such as City of London Festival, Heidelberger Frühling Music Fes-tival, Musikalischer Sommer in Ostfriesland, Ikoma Music Festival and Asian Clarinet Festival. He regularly gets invited as a guest principal clarinet player in numerous orchestras including London Symphony Orchestra and Orchestre National de France, under the baton of conductors such as Hannu Lintu, Alain Altinoglu, David Zinman, Klaus Mäkelä and Jukka-Pekka Saraste.

Han Kim is the 1st prize winner of the 3rd Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competi-tion in 2016 by unanimous decision, as well as receiving the audience prize and the prize for the commissioned work. He also received numerous awards including the Jury’s special prize of the 2nd Beijing International Music Competition on 2009. He is the youngest mem-ber of Kumho Asiana Soloists and a founding member of Veits quintet, the 2nd Prizewinner of the 1st Carl Nielsen international chamber music competition.

He graduated Eton College in U.K and Guildhall school of Music and Drama on a scholar-ship with Andrew Webster. Currently he studies with Sabine Meyer at Musikhochschule Lübeck and is 2nd Solo Clarinettist of Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
